Hello everyone and welcome back. For the past few weeks, I've been working on pit band for the musical, doing my history project, and trying to spend time with my girlfriend.
The musical, Cinderella, was this weekend. I finally was able to break myself away from all the crap that goes on in the Lisle Theater Department. All I have to say is it's about time. Last night was our final show. It ended with a bang. One of the funny people in the musical was kicked out during the show by the director because he was actually getting laughs from the audience. He was getting laughs in some inappropiate times, but it was the same thing that he does every night, it was just that people were actually watching him that night. Also, the people that were laughing this time were his family and friends. So the director asked the stage manager to kick him out. So for revenge, this kid walked out in his street clothes during the bows, pointed at the director in the pit, and then walked off. If you ask me, she deserved it. She was the one that told him to do that, but since it was taking away from the rest of the show and her son (who I don't have a problem with), she decided to kick him out.
Also I've been busy at work with my History Project. I had to do a researched interview of someone who had takenn part in history of some kind. I interviewed my dad who was at the protests of the Democratic National Convention of 1968. Being the procrastinator that I am, I interviewed my dad the day before the project was due instead of earlier over the two months that it was assigned. Still though, I pulled off a 100 on it and it pulled up my history grade to an A for the semester.
Also, I've been spending time with my girlfriend. We've been seeing each other for over a month now and her parents still don't really know who I am. This Monday, her mom came home from work early and caught me at her house. She was very mad, but she was able to hide what she was saying from me because this girl and her family is Korean. Yet, she was able to pull the whole thing off by telling her mom that I was helping her in Math, which I've always offered to her, but she always refused. Now, she's officially off grounding, so techinically, we can go out, but another thing is she can't date till she's a senior, so here's another thing behind their backs. Nice, isn't it?|
Next week, our Marching Band is going to Florida for Spring Break, so that should be exciting. I'll report back from there in my next diary. Thanks for listening
Matt
